Can I sell my car that doesn't p smog?

I have a 1992 camaro, It doesn't p smog. I found a buyer for about 1000 bucks, but I dont have a current regristration because the DMV is on me about getting it fixed to p smog. The buyer is fully aware that the car does not p smog. What do I do! Can i put the title in his name even though I have no current registration? help!
