How do poltergeists manifest themselves?

I do have spirits on the property which do not bother me. But, I have had things going on that I am not well versed in. My husband and I both have things moved to different locations in the house. Items come up missing and we end up blaming each other or the kids. The thermostat will read 78 degrees while it feels like it is in the 60's. I am a bit empathic and sometimes there is such a heavy feeling of anger, you can feel it in the air. I have a constant feeling of sadness which tends to go away when I leave the house. I don't know if I am just picking up on others emotions or if there is something more sinister at work here. Thanks for the help.
