Raid 0 vs SSD/Velociaptor?

The problem you detailed was a space issue, so the only logical fix would be to get more space. I suggest getting a 2tb hard drive for around $80 and not bothering with RAID. You wouldn't be able to set up a raid without installing windows anyway.
